Project summary

Baseline Audit · Cycle 1

To assess whether patients presenting with pain receive timely pain scoring, appropriate analgesia and documented reassessment, and to identify improvement actions that reduce delays to effective pain relief.

This audit reviews the timeliness and quality of analgesia for patients presenting with pain in urgent, emergency or acute assessment settings. It helps teams identify delays in pain assessment, prescribing, administration, reassessment and escalation, and supports safer, more compassionate and more reliable pain management.
